HBO 人气影集《Game of Thrones》前传《House of the Dragon》早在上年完结后便陆续有相关情报传出，而睽违多时后，官方总算率先揭晓了最新演员阵容，当中找来了《Doctor Who》的 Matt Smith、《The Outsider》的 Paddy Considine《Ready Player One》的 Olivia Cooke 和《Truth Seekers》的 Emma D’Arcy 等人。
前传《House Of The Dragon》将聚焦在《Game of Thrones》300 年前 Targaryen 家族统治 Westeros 的辉煌历史，其中 Paddy Considine 将扮演国王 Viserys Targaryen，Olivia Cooke 扮演首相 Hand of the King 之女 Alicent Hightower，Emma D’Arcy 则为 Viserys Targaryen 膝下长女兼龍骑士 Princess Rhaeynyra Targaryen，最后 Matt Smith 演出疯狂的 Prince Daemon Targaryen。
