早先《权力游戏 Game Of Thrones》作者 George R. R. Martin 才公开多部衍伸剧消息，很快今回他再度宣布将发行全新著作《Game of Thrones: The Rise of the Dragon》，此书将完全聚焦于 Targaryen 王朝的历史，与当前 HBO 正在制作的剧集《House of the Dragon》相呼应，预计收录超过 180 幅关于 Targaryen 家族的插画，以及一些 Westeros 地区的传说。
George R. R. Martin 提到《Game of Thrones: The Rise of the Dragon》与即将发行的《Fire & Blood》之间的差异，在于前者像是一本“华丽的参考书”，讲述 Westeros 最臭名昭彰的家族和他们的龙，并找来多位艺术家合作，展示栩栩如生的画作；而后者则是纪录 Aegon Targaryen 征服 Westeros 到 Dance of the Dragons 内战。
《Game of Thrones: The Rise of the Dragon》预计在今年 10 月正式推出，有兴趣的读者务必多加留意。
